Hanneke Bots is een Nijmeegse beeldend kunstenares. Sinds 1995 heeft ze zich toegelegd op het werken met glas. In haar werk wil ze verborgen aspecten onthullen. Met transparant glas brengt ze individuele en universele processen aan het licht. Het verscholene wordt ontsluierd. Haar glassculpturen scheppen een boeiende dans van vorm, kleur en licht.
Ze exposeert regelmatig in galeries en beeldentuinen. Naast vrij werk werkt ze ook aan opdrachten o.a. voor de Nederlandse Hartstichting, ziekenhuizen en Provincie Gelderland.
About Hanneke Bots
Hanneke Bots is a visual artist from Nijmegen. Since 1995, she has dedicated herself to working with glass. In her work, she aims to reveal hidden aspects. Using transparent glass, she brings individual and universal processes to light. The hidden is unveiled. Her glass sculptures create a captivating dance of form, color, and light.
She regularly exhibits in galleries and sculpture gardens. In addition to her independent work, she also works on commissions for organizations such as the Dutch Heart Foundation, hospitals, and the Province of Gelderland.
Geëxposeerd werk
De 2 glassculpturen komen uit de reeks ‘De wortels van ons bestaan’. In deze tijd ligt vervreemding op de loer en worden waarheden vaak verdraaid. We zijn veelal het contact met onze natuur verloren, met mogelijk desastreuze gevolgen. Om onszelf niet te verliezen is het nodig om terug te gaan naar onze basis. Alleen in contact met de wortels van ons bestaan kunnen we onszelf genezen.

Exhibited work
The two glass sculptures are from the series "The Roots of Our Existence." These days, alienation lurks, and truths are often distorted. We have often lost touch with nature, with potentially disastrous consequences. To avoid losing ourselves, it's necessary to return to our roots. Only by connecting with the roots of our existence can we heal ourselves.
